Angel's Melody

A song that warms a heart so lovingly, a tune I call an Angel's Melody

Tae Kwon Do

Most often shortened to TKD, I started training Tae Kwon Do at age 8 when I was in the third grade. Unfortunately, due to a very tight schedule, I was forced to stop in December that year. I was unlucky. The promotion exam I so excitedly prepared for was going to be on January and I stopped just the month before!

Reaching the fifth grade, I went back to Tae Kwon Do again. Catching up wasn't that hard and I didn't have to force myself to be flexible again since I had ballet classes during the time I stopped Tae Kwon Do and the warm-up exercises are practically the same. Well, except for some points.

I joined a tournament and for the second time, I got silver medal, always losing during the fight for gold. (The first tournament I joined was back in the third grade)

For the second time I prepared for another promotion exam and this time, I was able to join in. I passed and was promoted to yellow belt! But then...

... just four months after the promotion, I had been joining many contest and didn't have time to train until it came to the point that I was forced to stop and until now, I haven't been able to get back. Friends had been telling me to continue during summer. But, it's sad to think that I'll only be training during summer then stop during school days.

Now, I'm officially off Tae Kwon Do! hu-hu-hu... :( I don't have the time anymore to train nor do I have the good health to force it through my schedule.

Table Tennis

Now, let's see. How exactly did I end up learning this sport?

Hehehe... yes it's true. I never got professional training in Table Tennis. I've only practiced for a week, actually. I learned it during the School Intramurals back in the fifth grade. We lacked one player for the Table Tennis girls and the teacher asked me to learn at least the basics.

I asked my best friend, who was then the most experienced table tennis player in the elementary department, to help me learn the basics. She taught me all in four days from scratch. After those four days was the real thing but I won!

During sixth grade, I was a student council officer so I'm not joining any sports competition during the Intramurals. But, since it was boring just watching over the participants, me and my fellow officer, who is another of my best friends, had fun taking over the Table Tennis board while the other players practice cheerdance! Those three days of playing table tennis with my fellow officer make up the rest of the one week training I told you about, which is not at all professional training.
